Eco Funerals in Pulford, a Special Tribute to the Life Lived

Eco Funerals in PulfordCelebrate the kind of last tribute your loved one wanted with eco funerals in Pulford. As professional, personal and compassionate funeral directors, we are here to provide you with exactly what you want. Today, funerals have moved a long way from the traditional, solemn and meaningless rituals they once were. They are more personalised, individualistic and reflective of the life and wishes of the deceased. We have more than two decades’ experience in this sector. We keep in touch with the changing norms and values in society and the local  communities we serve. Our team has the necessary skills, knowledge, professional attitude and humane outlook to give you the right advice and help.

There is much more choice and involvement of the family and respect for the wishes of the departed. In Pulford, eco funerals or natural burials have become more and more popular. These funerals are less harmful to the environment. In addition, they don’t generate unnecessary waste or use excessive energy or harmful materials. There are different options for the setting available. They include burial in a woodland, memorial ground, cemetery, or in your own private land. The body is encased in a completely biodegradable coffin that has been manufactured using natural materials without chemical additives. Hence, this could be bamboo, banana fibre, cardboard, wood, sea grasses, cane, water hyacinth or other biodegradable material. In addition, the body may be wrapped in a cotton or other natural material shroud. There is no embalming or extended viewing of the body in a funeral home.

While choosing a site for eco funerals in Pulford, ensure that the site is maintained in a natural way. Thus, the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides defeats the purpose. Check with the site authorities whether they use organic products. Moreover, some eco funeral companies offer a tree pod burial.  Thus, here the body is placed in a biodegradable pod and buried. Furthermore, a tree is planted directly above to serve as a living memorial. Contact John Knowles Funerals for assistance and guidance. We can help you to select the right option. The first natural burial site in the UK was established in Carlisle in 1993. Since then, many other places have adopted these ideas.

John Knowles and staff supported my family in the most professional and empathetic way during our recent bereavement. Jan at the Rossett office went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Guidance and suggestions were given to help us choose what was right for us. Then the staff at John Knowles handled everything seamlessly and with the utmost care, respect and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble and any changes we wanted to make were happily welcomed by Jan. Jan recommended a Celebrant called Margaret Harrison to take our service - she was also excellent. I cannot thank Mr Knowles and his team enough for the level of service we received. Mr Knowles personally ensured my Mother-in-Law was supported on this difficult day. It was also nice to have two ladies from the company as bearers. I would highly recommend John Knowles and his staff.

My Dad passed away in 2017 and his ashes were sprinkled without me knowing. I needed closure and for me this was something that proved he was here and missed. The memorial gardens I tried had no capacity. I’d been out Roy Orbison was on the radio. One of my Dad’s favourite singers and we had seen the musical the weekend I got engaged. I drive by the Broughton branch and on this day I plucked up the courage to go in. I couldn’t have been treated with more care or respect by Sarah and John. I was even apologised to when John had to take a mobile call. They put me in touch with Flintshire memorials and I now have a tree in the memorial garden there. It was ready for 19/8/21 the 4th anniversary of losing my Dad. I now have closure, I’ll always miss my Dad but I have a beautiful & tranquil place to remember him. Considering John Knowles Funerals hadn’t arranged my Dad’s cremation, I was treated with so much care. This company is a gem up here and really wants to be part of the community they are in. It’s rare to find a company that acts like they do with no money changing hands. I just wish they had carried out my Dad’s arrangements. If you are looking for a funeral company that treats you like family John Knowles is the company to choose at what is a very difficult time.

We can’t thank you all enough. I’m lucky enough to know Sarah as a very caring compassionate friend so I felt so much better knowing my mum was in her safe keeping. Margaret was amazing and such a lovely lady and John made me laugh on the day which helped so much as I was far from ok. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts x
